Thorvald Blough (baritone) and Solomon-Miles Donnelly (piano) are medical students at the University of Liverpool, united by their love of performing music. Thorvald studied singing in his native California and then worked in London as an opera singer. Solomon attended Chetham’s School of Music and has performed in competitions and concerts nationally and internationally.
This lunchtime recital is about painful love, beginning with Western music’s arguably most intense love song and ending with its most heart-wrenching song cycle.
