On Monday 22nd May, Future Yard are thrilled to be welcoming ‘the loudest band in New York’, A Place to Bury Strangers, to the Future Yard stage. Led by the psychotropic vision of frontman Oliver Ackermann, A Place To Bury Strangers have been delighting and astonishing audiences for two decades, combining post-punk, noise-rock, shoegaze, psychedelia, and avant-garde music in startling and unexpected ways.
They join Future Yard in support of their 2022 album, See Through You, an explosive journey which explores the listener’s limits of mind-bending madness while simultaneously offering the catchiest batch of songs in the band’s discography. Support comes from Camilla Sparksss, an electro punk dance musician combining a unique technique of mixing dubplate, synthesisers and cutting vocals in her live performances, as well as Liverpool’s own Yobs, a band of self-professed delinquents playing hard-edged ‘yob rock’ with fuzzed-out bass, scratchy guitar and gang vocals.
