Zuanella is a DJ and journalist from the West Midlands, she is a member of the prominent female, non-binary and trans communities Selextorhood, girlsneedmusic and All Hands on Deck, where their mission is to continually strive to push for equality on the dance floor and beyond.
She holds down two residencies on BLOCK Radio, one being ‘Selextorhood Presents’, where she co-hosts with other members of the community and discuss a wide range of topical and social issues and the 2nd being ‘Zealous Patterns’, which sees her explore a mixture of diverse beats by sharing her love of fusing sounds old and new from the worlds of Electro, Italo, House, Techno, Disco, Acid, Electronica and everything in between and welcomes DJ’s/producers to flex their skills and deliver pulsating guest mixes. In addition she has been invited onto a number of acknowledged broadcasters across the airwaves such as Noods, Reform Radio, Threads and Brum Radio.
Over the years she has performed at many established venues across the country, such as AAJA Deptford in London, Partisan and The Deaf Institute in Manchester and Hare &Hounds in Birmingham and has featured on line ups alongside the likes of Crazy P, Justin Robertson, IMOGEN, DJ Bus Replacement Service and Norman Jay MBE to name a few.
