Transport For Lovers is a momentary trip out of the monotonous urban sprawl with emotionally driven tracks that hold space for reflection.
Vocal pieces, evocative chords and abstract samples bounce off murky and abrasive percussion leaving you a little more grounded and ready.
Honing his trade with Sheffield-based party, Don’t Look Now, and later on with Liverpool’s Abandon Silence, who celebrate 10 years of dancing this year, Tom Lye has focused on his studies in Spanish and International Politics more recently. Through research for his dissertation thesis on alternative housing in urban spaces, Tom delves into local and global topics of interest on the one-hour show, with the occasional guest joining him in the studio for a chat.
Tom’s back for the tenth edition of Transport For Lovers (woo!), and to celebrate he’s selected a fitting combination of sludgey hip-hop, house and jungle!
