The Connect with Hà Nội Community Radio

As part of MDR’s ESEA Heritage month programming, we’re seeing out the month in style with a fantastic radio collaboration with Hà Nội Community Radio.

Hà Nội Community Radio is based in Hanoi, Vietnam and was established to bring communities together. It features shows from local artists’, musicians and creatives.

Broadcasting 12:00 – 18:00 UK time (or 18:00 – 00:00 Vietnamese time) on Thursday 29th September, a selection of HCR’s residents will be showcasing the amazing sounds and styles of Hanoi’s independent radio scene.

CONG started digging for Electronic music and DJ-ing as a hobby at the age of 22 and officially made a debut in 2017 in his homeland: Hanoi, Vietnam. His constant drive to improve his skills and accumulate more musical knowledge in general has landed him a residency at Mirage and Half.half—a local even series organised by Min8. CONG can usually be found playing at Hanoi’s staple venues such as The Warehouse, Savage, KALI, Birdcage, Hum studio … to name a few; or at local festivals like HUM, Half.Half, Studio Adventure, Sunlit festival, and Equation.

CONG is known for his eclectic sets, with music from different genres ranging from house, techno, disco, to break, or even DnB; in both digital and analog formats; playing alongside many talented acts, like Ouissam, Min8, Quan, etc.
