Spektrum is a collective effort by Liverpool students, from both the Universities, to bring more drum and bass to the city.
The idea behind the name, and the general aim of Spektrum, is to explore and present all areas of drum and bass – a genre that too often gets typecast. Though run by students, the genre itself has grown into a stage of maturity has engaged people of all ages and from many surrounding areas, and that is in part the ethos of the night; no egos, open minds/ears and quality DJs playing on quality sound systems.
Each month, Spektrum aims to provide 2 hours of drum and bass from one of its subgenres, with a different subgenre presented each month. Announcements and all other news on when you can get your next dose of drum and bass can be found on the Spektrum Facebook page.
This month sees the Spektrum residents Will Kirk, Rozzla and DJ Focus share the decks whilst MC CO_MIC is on host duties throughout.
