Sketches of Syria

Alasdair Murty (Golden Plec, Radio Buena Vida) sits down with teammate, Karam Kaddour, to discuss his refuge from Salamiyah to Liverpool.

Among the topics to be discussed are his NGO and conversion to Christianity in Greece, as well as some of the sounds to soundtrack his life.

Expect Bouzouki, Eastern-influenced jazz, tarab and a little surprise!

Alasdair is also raising money to benefit Elpitha Hope UK. Any donation will help make an impact.

As a charity, Elpitha Hope create communities of faith and provide help and support to those who are being affected by the economic and social breakdown of family life in Greece. They train members of these faith communities to become local leaders. They also give spiritual and practical support to refugees in Greece, such as Karam who volunteered for the organisation after he fled Syria.
