Mornings With Luke Wallwork & Vlad Yaremchuk

Mornings are back! Well with us that is. That’s right, no more walking through the¬†musical forest of the morning without a voice to guide you along the way.

Tune in every weekday as a selection of hosts jump into the studio with plenty of tunes and huge amounts of sideways chat. Expect a selection of familiar faces returning to the airwaves with Griff, Yvonne Page, George \m/, SOULFULTIZ, Yeti, Tonia, Chandé & our very own Danny taking you through the morning grind.

This morning, Luke plays two hours of brand-new Ukrainian music. Since the beginning of the invasion, the Ukrainian music scene has exploded, with artists responding to life in a war torn country. Luke chats with Vlad Yaremchuk from Music Saves UA about what life is like for musicians in Ukraine, how Music Saves UA are uniting the music scene to support those affected by the war.

If you’re in Liverpool over the Eurovision weekend, be sure to check out Vlad’s team’s pop-up at the Eurovision fan park, See, Feel, Hear Ukraine which runs from May 5 to 12. The zone itself has the form of a dome, inside of which there are several zones with audio, visual, and text materials that tell visitors about the war in Ukraine and how Ukrainian music and culture adapted to the wartime reality and plays a vital role in resistance.
