Alexander Comana is a sound artist and performer working under the name Miedo Total.
His work navigates emotional landscapes and affectations that cannot easily be defined and reframes them within the context of extremes. It meanders between instrumental acts of electronic aggression and vocal torch songs, taking elements that are inherently violent and placing them in contexts of softness. Equally, tender moments are weaponised to create cloying, warped melodies.
His debut EP ‘Volt Room’ was released in May via experimental electronic label Jerome Worldwide. Alexander has also previously worked with international arts institute Wales Millenium Centre to create an audio-visual installation.
