Also featuring an exclusive interview with Yi Wang, the director of Queer East, an LGBTQ+ film festival that showcases rarely-seen queer cinema from East and Southeast Asia. Queer East is coming to Liverpool this week and we chat about the origins of the festival, why they are going on the road, and ‘East Palace, West Palace’, one of the first films from mainland China to dramatise gay experience.
