Liverpool International Music Festival takes place in our beloved Sefton Park each summer. With a variety of stages, it plays host to artists from all over the genre spectrum, from big names to local favourites. This year, LIMF is bringing the party to our park on 20-21st July, with headliners Sigma and Disco Classical, and appearances from our very own LUNA and KYAMI.

As part of LIMF, the LIMF Academy developed an award-winning talent development programme, The Academy gives Merseyside’s most promising emerging talent the opportunity to grow and develop their craft as an artist/band. The selected artists are mentored for the year and given opportunities such as London showcases, industry masterclasses and other performances opportunities. The Top 3 ‘Most Ready’ artists are also granted some funding, as well as the opportunity to perform on the LIMF Mainstage. The lucky ones chosen for the Elite Talent Development Programme of 2018/19 are LUNA, Raheem Alameen and KYAMI.

This month, Pizzagirl introduces us to a live recording from LIMF Academy x The Ignition Orchestra performance that took place at The Philharmonic Music Room last month. It features a collaboration between LIMF Academy artists and The Ignition Orchestra.
