Chandé is a DJ, Broadcaster, Host, Music & Cultural Producer and a core member of the Daytimers collective.
Grounded in a curiosity of music, wherever it is found, and the cultures surrounding it, his approach as a DJ seeks to abolish any borders or categories. Instead his sets showcase the divergent yet universal sonic expressions which provoke movement, mobilisation & joy. This eclectic nature has led to a distinct irreplicable sound that Chandé artfully crafts and adapts for each set and dancefloor he graces.From breakout sets last year, at the Daytimers Boiler Room takeover, EartH London, SOUP MCR & Manchester International Festival as well as across guest mixes aired on Rinse FM, BBC Asian Network, NTS, Reprezent & Boxout.FM.
Chandé has been a mainstay across the grassroots scene in Manchester since 2014; supporting the likes of DJ Paypal & Kaidi Tatham. As well as spreading this sound to parties in Liverpool, Sheffield & Ireland, he is also the co-founder and resident for Heliocentric- a club series exploring intersection of Jazz and sounds of the dancefloor, hosting regular nights at Night & Day Cafe and YES MCR.
He has recently started to involve himself with music production, making key contributions to this recent revival of the Asian Underground sound with ‘Pani Puri Pirates’, in collaboration with yourboykiran on DT002 and ‘Jhoole Jhoole Lal’ with FKA Hardcore on DT001. Both of which recieving play across radio on BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 6 & BBC Asian Network, NTS, Rinse FM & Reprezent and across many dancefloors.
