Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn are a rapper-producer duo hailing from Brighton.
Formed 8 years ago between two friends, their confessional hip-hop has previously earned them their place as one of the Top 5 Hip-Hop acts of 2015, alongside George The Poet and Little Simz. Their sound is also reminiscent of modern rap, dance and UK garage, creating a unique fusion that leaves you addicted.
Following a succession of albums (that over time has racked them up an impressive 150k monthly Spotify listeners), the pair released hotly anticipated EP The Lakes earlier this week. Written whilst in The Lake District, “the surroundings and isolation were very inspiring”, creating a body of work that has already received praise from the likes of RWD mag and Broadway World.
Tonight they’re in Liverpool for the 3rd show of their UK tour at EBGBs, having kicked things off in Birmingham. You can find them all across the country before finishing in Leeds next week.
