DRIFT is a mix series based in Edinburgh, giving DJs a chance to step back from their usual dancefloor fillers.
It offers DJs the opportunity to create a blend that twists and turns through genres not typically heard in a club setting. This freedom allows for lots of room for experimentation in mixes and gives listeners the chance to hear a new side to their favourite DJs – both local and international.
For this show, DRIFT host SSID takes over the first half an hour with a selection of downtempo and otherworldly electronic sounds including new releases from Kessler and tracks Glasgow’s Invisble Inc label.
For the second half, we jump to a live recording by London based DJ and producer Kitsta from the most recent DRIFT Sunday Sessions event. She put together a sublime blend of chilled out synthy house and deep, textured breaks perfect for home listening on a Sunday afternoon.
