‘Drag Dings’ – a show by Severus Heyn, aka Franz Genau, and Dan Chan who will be discussing, dissecting, and debating the Queer experience and culture in the UK, from a comedic drag artist perspective.
Severus Heyn (he/him/his) 31 years old, German, works as an illustrator since 2012. His commissions span magazines, theater productions, party series, merchandise and international exhibitions. His guiding principle is ‘Visibility through power’. As part of this, a creates Queer events like the Queer Art Brunch Club (Q-ABC) in the Netherlands. Since 2021, Sev performs and hosts as his drag king alter ego Franz Genau.
Dan Chan (they/them/theirs) 27 years old is a mixed race, non-binary visual artist, drag performer and producer who seeks to breakdown stereotypes of the mixed East and South East Asian experience. Their art aims to create representation and safer spaces for marginalised groups. They have performed and exhibited with Homotopia, Museum of Liverpool & the Tate.
