Baiana

Laura Doyle is the singer with brilliant Liverpool band Baiana.

The band is the culmination of Laura’s amazing life, which has seen her travel the world as “first lady” with the Italian diplomatic service, study clowning under the great Philippe Gaulier in Paris and become an international football agent.

She was inspired to form the band after living in Rio de Janeiro, where she became enraptured by the music of the dance halls and fell under the spell of musicians such as Sérgio Mendes, João Gilberto and Tom Jobim. Laura’s “other job” is now as head of Elite Women’s Sports for football agency ICM Stellar Sports, whose clients include JACK GREALISH, GARETH BALE and LUKE SHAW.

Baiana – which means “girl from Bahia, Brazil” – have been wowing fans with their Brazilian, bossa nova-inspired music. They have released three singles. Miso Loco, Paradise and the forthcoming Voodoo Man. An album will be released in 2022.

The tracks were all produced by Mark “Snowboy” Cotgrove, who has worked with musicians such as Amy Winehouse, Lisa Stansfield, Imelda May, Simply Red, James Taylor, Mark Ronson and many more!
