Emmanuel N’Djoké AKA “Manu” Dibango, was a Cameroonian musician who sadly passed away from COVID last March. He was born in 1933, and he released over 40 albums, from 1969 to 2014. He was a soul pioneer and amongst other artist he collaborated with Fela Kuti, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, King Sunny Ade, Herbie Handcock or the Fania All Stars. Manu Digango moved to France in 1948, when he was just 15 and he was the African soul pioneer. Selected by Anti Social Jazz Club’s XGFarru.
