Rich Furness is a long standing veteran of the Liverpool dance music scene, and is most well-known for his residencies at Chibuku Shake Shake and Abandon Silence, where he has warmed up for a whole host of international DJ’s and live acts, as well as DJ’ing at institutions such as Fabric, Warehouse Project, Creamfields, Parklife and many more over the years.
His new show for MD Radio is entitled Across The Board, and will see Rich bring in a different guest each month for a 2 hour show. Each guest will do solo hour in addition to going back-to-back with Rich to finish off. In keeping with Rich’s eclectic tastes, future guests lined up will cover all spectrums of dance music including techno, grime, jungle, garage, UK bass, disco and even gabber, as well as genres probably yet to be named.
For his first show, Rich flew solo for a special 2 hour journey highlighting some of his favourite Latin, African, jazz and tribal inspired house and disco tracks. With tracks from the likes of Jacques Renault, DJ Koze, Dennis Ferrer, Silicone Soul, Agoria, Luminodisco, Riva Starr, Pangaea, Aphex Twin and many more, expect some bona fide classics thrown in amongst some obscurities, long forgotten tracks and some brand new freshness.
