MDR co-founder and Worldwide FM host Aitman is spoiling us with a brand new radio show on the first Friday of every month.
Exploring the humanisation of electronic music across a very broad spectrum, Aitman will reach into ambience and dance music as well as more abrasive sounds. The show will be focussed around searching for that certain ratio which combines formulaic and electronic sounds with humanised nuances and imperfections, to create a really enjoyable soundtrack each month.
Aitman steps up to the mark this month once again this month to bring you a variety of breaks, electro and broken beat. Joining him for a 1 hour guest mix is Bristol based producer and party starter Syz.
Syz (Oli Samways) is a music artist and co-founder of DJ collective and party throwers Method Lab, as well as being an affiliate of Bristol born yet Brighton based label Only Ruins. His most recent musical output is his track ‘Spook’ featured on a compilation 12” on Pressure Dome, a sound that has followed in the footsteps of his solo 12” released on the Only Ruins imprint last year. As well as releasing on Brotherhood Soundsystem and Method Lab in the past, Syz’s musical direction has dissected inspiration from all avenues of bass driven UK dance music.
