A new monthly column that focuses on photographs that capture the spirit of the North West’s Music Scene.
Each month, we’ll take image submissions from you folks that highlight and document beautiful moments captured throughout that month, whilst spotlighting one photographer.
Showcasing images made in whatever way you capture moments, from the boss cameras that the modern day phone holds, to those vintage point and shoot film camera – an article that highlights the beauty of the North West’s culture.
First up, leading the column is Daniel de la Bastide, local Liverpool photographer who predominantly captures nightlife within Merseyside.
Daniel dug into his archive and took a nostalgic trip through his adolescences.“These are some film camera shots I took during my time at university, mostly of my good friends who I miss dearly. It was part of a mini-series called ‘Conceal’. They were captured at House Parties, Festivals and moments of silliness.”
Danny’s first selection of images come from Gottwood Festival ’18. Capturing the intimate, relaxed moments at camp and then in the chaos of the woods.
Our second selection of images from House Parties on Smithdown ’18/’19. Series of memories from my close friends – a bunch of young folks up to no good.
