This month, Latin American Arts and Culture festival is set to take over multiple venues in Liverpool’s city centre.
Presented by LUMA Creations for their 10th Anniversary activities, LA FERIA is an innovative and colourful celebration of Latin American Arts and Culture. The programme features a range of dance, musical performances and activities, giving audiences the opportunity to experience the diversity of Latin American Arts and Culture across Liverpool.
The festival kicks off on Thursday 23rd September with ‘Music of the Americas’ at District, featuring Latin American Lucas Music Award winner Angelica Lopez and her eight-piece band, alongside local groups LUMA Quintet and Katumba Bloco.
Following this on Friday 24th, the Bombed Out Church will host an evening of Latin American Dance featuring Caporales, San Simon from Bolivia, the Colibri Company and more.
Saturday 25th sees a free family day of exciting performances, workshops, stalls and exhibitions, with pop-up street performances to close the festival at Chavasse Park on Sunday.
