News: Festival of the Third Summer – Jubilee Weekend

Melodic Distraction are excited to be partnering with the Festival of the Third Summer this bank holiday June. Over the Jubilee weekend (2nd – 4th June), the festival brings three days of music, poetry, theatre, drag, cabaret, art and more to the Anglican Church gardens…  and it’s all free!

On Thursday, the headline event is ‘A Lovely Word’ showcasing one of the biggest poetry nights in the country.

Friday’s theme is ‘A Night at the Movies’, featuring Filla Crack, Pretentious Dross and Baba Yadda!

Saturday then delves into theatre and music, with a headline act from the infamous Secret Circus. What’s more, our very own Bear Growls, long-standing host of The Honey Pot, is closing the party on Saturday night on the 1210s.

Throughout all the days, there’s plenty more to get stuck into, with tarot reading, a coconut shy and award winning life drawing taking place in the festival.
