Yep, we’re here again! Purgatory, limbo, the netherworld that is the Middle of the Week.
But fear not – this is where we step in with a handful of delightful ditties to fend off those Wednesday woes! So put that coffee cup down, plug your earphones in and take a step outside.
Hand-picked in-house and by our hosts, these tracks have only one common denominator: to release that dopamine. And if you dance hard enough, it’ll soon be Friday…
One of our favourite weekends in Liverpool’s calendar kicks off this Saturday – Africa Oyé in Sefton Park! Not only is it their 30th birthday, but they’re also hosting an absolutely mind-blowing line-up featuring Oumou Sangaré, Eek-a-Mouse and Fuse ODG, as well as a handful of our radio residents and local friends on DJ duties. Melodic Distraction will be at the Freetown Stage all weekend, with Alien Izz b2b Snoodman Deejay opening the festival with some reggae and dub from 1pm. Then closing we’ve got Josh Aitman b2b NIIX from 8pm, with some dancehall and more.
To get those Oyé juices flowing, the team have put together a special Midweek Movers featuring some of their favourite acts playing at this year’s festival… check it out below!
