The Texan three piece have released another single from their forthcoming album Mordechai, which is out in June.
Amidst all the chaos of 2020, Khruangbin are having one of their most productive years to date. February saw the release of the soul drenched Texas Sun, a collaborative EP with fellow Texan Leon Bridges, and in April the group announced their third studio album Mordechai, alongside lead single “Time (You & I)”, a disco-infused, guaranteed hip-shaker of a track.
Now Khruangbin have shared the second single from the forthcoming album. “So You Won’t Forget” is a more downtempo affair than “Time (You & I)”, and incorporates more of the the classic Khruangbin blend of psyche rock and funk that they have made their own in recent years. Like “Time (You & I)” however, the track also features a prominent vocal line, something which will feature on all of the album’s tracks, representing a departure from the largely instrumental work the group has put out to date.
