In celebration of March’s Bandcamp Friday, LUNA dropped an exclusive remix of Charli XCX’s epic hyper-pop banger ‘claws’.
Recently featured in Clash Magazine, LUNA is a rising star of UK electronica and one of the brightest talents in Liverpool’s eclectic scene. Over the past year, she has gradually edged away from the dreamy realms of her electro-pop debut EP ‘Hello Earth’, by naturally gravitating towards a more club-focussed sound. Thanks to DJing at events such as club night athe and Future Yard Festival, paired with guest mixes on Threads, KMAH and Limbo, LUNA has been pushing her production techniques to the limit, inspired by the likes of SOPHIE, Shygirl and Smerz.
Most recently, she released her first dance track ‘VENTUS‘ on Manchester-based label Shifting Spheres, which was premiered by Analog Advisory, featured on EARMILK and as of last week, included on The Producergirls Collective debut Worldwide FM show. This was followed by a brand new ‘Hello Earth: Remixes‘ EP released late 2020, featuring 5 club-ready reworks from an array of North West producers including Stealing Sheep, Mystique and Ross Roberston.
While her monthly radio show ‘EQUINOX’ on Melodic Distraction explores ambient, left-field pop sounds, LUNA’s new residency ‘AREA F-5’ on Steam Radio Manchester creates the sound of a club in space. Listen back to the latest instalment here.
