Whether you’ve been melodically distracted from the beginning, or have just discovered us – you’re always welcome as part of the family.
For the past 6 years, Melodic Distraction Radio has been free to tune into, anytime, any place.
We’re a community of North West music lovers, broadcasting to the world. This same ethos runs right through Melodic Bar, where all our music events are free-to-attend.
We believe that music should be accessible to everyone, and this is the way we want to keep it for years to come.
Currently, we rely on host subs, bar and merch sales, crowdfunding and digital streaming to keep the station and the bar moving.
Now, we’re reaching out to you, our listeners, for your hand in friendship…
Our listeners are so important to us, and we’re inviting you to help us grow and support our community of creators. Become a Friend by donating as little as £5 a month and you’ll be supporting Melodic Distraction and our contributors.
When you become a Friend:
– 50% of your money goes directly to our presenters and event promoters.
– 50% goes to developing Melodic Distraction Radio.
All Friends get their perks too:
– 10% off in our bar and coffee shop

Melodic Distraction’s 50% will be allocated towards:
Improving studio and events equipment,
Building capacity to air more radio shows,
Creating more free-to-attend radio and DJ workshops,
Improving accessibility for studio users and Melodic Bar guests,
Eventually eliminating the need for host subs.
Get involved and help support Melodic Distraction and North West music culture.

Donations raised will allow us to invest in improved studio equipment, build capacity to air more radio shows and work towards eliminating the need for host subs.
The other 50% will be split between each of the station’s regular residents.
